Martin has been a Technical Educator since around 1996 as Industrial Arts began the evolution from Shop classes to Technology Labs. "As my content became increasingly more Electronic and Technical in nature I found it incongruent to teacher state-of-the-art technoloies using Textbooks, pencil and paper." So with the help of one of my very bright students (thank you Harout) I Learned to use Html, PHP and Apache server to create an interactive training and testing website that I used on our intranet for several years. Around 2002 I bought space on the World Wide Web and went online to allow students to interact with the class content at home. And Choquettetech.org was born!

Since then the website has gone through multiple upgrades and its most recent was to allow the site to upgrade to web3.0 standards, presentation and content security. In 2009 Martin had an opportunity to step out into the business arena and bring his skills to the benefit of the small business community around the Denver area. Keeping with his mechanical background he took on a position in Laptop Repair, then moved one to IT end user support and onto Server Administration and Network Engineering. "It is now my greatest joy to begin the process of beginning a business venture where I can blend Technical Education and business solutions together to grow up future Technicians and Engineers along side state-of-the-art business solutions service implementation".

The Development of Industrial & Technolgies Education

-From then to Now-
Computer technologies have been a part of K-12 education for a number of years now, but we seem to have kept it segregated from regular academic content. There are classes that teach computer usage, word processing and web-page design but we have been slow in actually using technologies as a tool to teach and apply traditional academic coursework. At this point it is fairly common to use computers to take attendance, add a projector and we can use computers as glorified overhead projectors, but only a select few are using technologies to actually help students interact with course content and improve their skills and understanding. In the development of this web-based curriculum we have worked to produce a web environment that will fulfill two fundamental objects:

1) Allow students to interact with a course content independently (makeup or self study)

2) Provide a framework where teachers can use these webpages to increase their efforts to more clearly disseminate coursework information.
